The crotalia earrings are possibly one of the most famous jewels of the Al Fayum portraits, this type of earrings were known as 'crotalia' (from the Greek word for rattle), because the pearl pendants produced a tinkling noise when they were worn .

These elegant jewels were extremely popular with Roman ladies, numerous examples have been found in Pompeii and Herculaneum, they could have two, three and even four pearls per earring. This one that we present to you with three pearls is one of the most represented in Fayum's portraits. They are very versatile, being able to be used for recreation and for daily use or for special moments.

Piece made of yellow bronze with Majorica pearls and a golf ball to embellish the pearl on the top, the hooks are made of gold-plated sterling silver.

*You can also choose them in sterling silver
